It's natural to experience stress when you first visit an unfamiliar place. At Burnt Hickory, we want to eliminate this stress so that you and your family will be able to worship freely.
You should plan on arriving 15 minutes before the service starts. By turning on your flashers as you enter the parking lot, our Parking Ministry can direct you to the nearest guest spaces, located at the front of the Worship Center. Special parking for expectant mothers, mothers of preschoolers, and senior adults is conveniently located.

As you enter the building you will be welcomed by our greeters. We encourage you to stop by the Welcome Desk in the main worship lobby to pick up more information about the church and for help finding a LifeGroup or service.
Greeters will also assist you in checking in your kids to Park Street Junior (babies - 2 years), Park Street (2 - 5 years), or our Solid Rock Children's Ministry (1st - 5th grade). For the benefit of our children, we keep these departments as safe and secure as possible, requiring security badges for anyone to enter each department.
As always, if you prefer to keep your kids close, you are welcome to worship as a family. |

We have two different worship venues, both are available each service hour.
Our 9:30 and 11:00 Praise and Worship Services are held in our 1,100 seat worship center. These services are led by our band, praise team, orchestra, and choir. Not your typical traditional service, the worship reflects what you might hear from contemporary Christian artists on the radio. Progressive arrangements of hymns are also woven in for a moving worship experience. The use of videos, dramas, and other multi-media enhance the focus of the congregation on the message to be brought by Pastor Mike. His sermon series are designed to bring the truths of God’s Word to the listener in a way that is relevant and applicable to the every day lives of our families.

The Gathering is our alternative service designed for those desiring a smaller, more casual and contemporary style of worship. This service is held upstairs in the Radiate Auditorium at both 9:30 and 11:00. When you come to the Gathering, you can expect to be welcomed at the door by a member of our host team who can answer any questions you may have. The Gathering Community is a comfortable environment where we sing songs of worship, led by worship leader, Mark Blackburn and The Gathering Band. The live message is brought by Pastor Mike via a high-definition life size screen. These services also incorporate multi-media in a creative manner that enhances the worship experience.

Upon conclusion of the service, parents may pick up their children at the entrance to each department. You should have your receipt ready and be prepared to show a photo ID. As you leave the church, our Parking Ministry will help you exit as quickly as possible.
